Dr. Leslie Harrold is a physician and real-world evidence leader with extensive experience advancing evidence generation to inform healthcare decision-making across the life sciences ecosystem. She has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications focused on the patient experience, patient journey, clinical outcomes, quality of care, comparative effectiveness and comparative safety. Her work is centered on optimizing treatment strategies by aligning therapies—pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic—with the appropriate patient, dose, and timing in real-world clinical practice.
Dr. Harrold has played a prominent role in national clinical and quality initiatives, including service with the American College of Rheumatology’s Guidelines Subcommittee and Quality of Care Committee, and as a co-author of evidence-based guidelines for the management of gout. She currently serves as Vice President and Global Head of Real-World Science and Strategy within the PPD CorEvitas Clinical Registries team. In this role, she leads a multidisciplinary organization of more than 60 epidemiologists and biostatisticians, providing strategic scientific leadership and methodological expertise to address complex biomedical, therapeutic, and regulatory questions.
Under her leadership, the Epidemiology and Biostatistics teams partner closely to deliver rigorous, fit-for-purpose real-world evidence solutions for biopharmaceutical companies, regulators, and other stakeholders. The teams apply robust epidemiologic and statistical methodologies and brings deep experience in designing and executing large-scale collaborative analytic studies that support regulatory submissions and scientific dissemination.
