Dr. Nesterova has extensive experience in clinical and biochemical genetics (ABMGG certified), in clinical and bench research as a clinical geneticist at the National Institute of Health (NIH), National Human Genome Research Institute, and special expertise in metabolic genetic and renal disorders. Prior to joining PPD, she evaluated and managed patients with rare genetic and metabolic disorders admitted to the Undiagnosed Diseases Program at the NIH. In addition to authoring and co-authoring a number of peer reviewed publications, she has medical reviewer experience with the Food and Drug Administration and experience in presenting research results at national and international forums; development of research protocols; formulation of hypothesis and experimental design; facilitating protocols’ approval, protocols’ implementation, analysis of results, and publication. Dr. Nesterova received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
