As our journey unfolds, the unpredictability of the open sea becomes evident. On the first night of the race, disaster strikes in the form of inclement weather, breaking our vessel’s mast – putting our crew in jeopardy and ultimately forcing us to grapple with some difficult decisions.

After months of preparation, the TransPac race is officially underway. Follow along as we set off on the first leg of our incredible voyage, eager to conquer the challenges and emerge victorious. With clear skies on the horizon, we thought we were in for smooth sailing.

Our crew is fully assembled and we're ready to tackle the open ocean. With a team of experienced sailors at the helm – along with their trusted companion Nigel – and the Malilia stocked with supplies for a 12-day voyage, we’re on the cusp of beginning this new adventure.
